Delete Your Account
Zuletzt aktualisiert: Juli 2026
Overview
This page explains how to permanently delete your account and personal data from Diat — the intermittent fasting and calorie-tracking app for iOS and Android, published by IMEDBILL LLC. It covers the steps to request deletion, exactly what is removed, what we keep, and for how long.
You can delete your account yourself from inside the app, or ask us to delete it for you by email if you no longer have the app installed. Both routes lead to the same result: your account and its associated data are permanently removed.
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. If you only want to stop notifications or take a break, you can sign out or turn off reminders in the app instead.
Delete from the Diat app
The quickest way to delete your account is directly in the app:
- Open the Diat app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to the Profile tab and scroll to the Delete Account option.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm the two prompts (Continue, then Delete).
- Diat emails a one-time confirmation link to the email address on your account, and signs you out.
- Open that email and tap the link. For your security it expires one hour after it is sent — if it lapses, simply request deletion again.
- On the confirmation page, tap Permanently Delete My Account.
- Your account and its data are permanently deleted. You will not be able to sign back in.
Because confirmation happens through your email inbox, no password is required — this also lets accounts created with Apple or Google sign-in be deleted.
Request deletion by email
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, you can still ask us to delete your account. Email contact@diat.app from the address associated with your Diat account, with the subject line "Account deletion request". To protect your account, we verify that the request comes from the account owner's email address before deleting anything. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days.
Data that is deleted
When your deletion is confirmed, the following are permanently removed from our systems:
- Your account and sign-in credentials
- Profile details — name, email address, date of birth, gender, height, weight, goals, dietary preferences, and profile photo
- Everything you logged — meals and nutrition entries, water intake, weight entries, activity and workout records, and fasting sessions
- Goals, fasting plans, reminders, and app settings
- Favourites and saved items
- Coach conversations and chat history
- Reviews you left on recipes
- Photos you uploaded for meal, barcode, menu, or receipt scanning
Data that is kept
A small amount of data is retained after deletion:
- Recipes and foods you created and shared stay in the community catalog so other users who saved them are not affected — but they are anonymized: permanently detached from your account so they can no longer be linked back to you.
- Records we are legally required to keep (for example, transaction or tax records related to any purchase) are retained only for as long as the law requires, then deleted.
- Aggregated or anonymized analytics that cannot identify you may be kept for reliability and product improvement.
Timing and retention
Once you confirm the deletion link (or we complete a verified email request), your account and personal data are immediately removed from our live systems and cannot be recovered.
Residual copies may remain in our encrypted backups for a limited period and are purged on our normal backup rotation, within 90 days. Backups are not restored except where strictly necessary for security, disaster recovery, or legal compliance.
Where we are required by law to retain specific records, we keep only what the law requires and securely delete it once that obligation ends. For full details on how we handle your information, see our Privacy Policy.
